Terms & Conditions
These terms describe the basis on which Open Atrium provides facilitated conversations, communication workshops, and family records organisation services. Please read them before making a booking or attending a session.
1. About Open Atrium
Open Atrium operates from 53 Surawong Road, Si Phraya, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand. We offer facilitated conversations, communication education workshops, and family records organisation support. We do not provide legal, financial, psychological, or regulated professional services of any kind.
2. Scope of Our Services
Our three core offerings are:
- Discovery Conversation (Single Session) — a 60-minute structured conversation in which a facilitator listens, asks questions, and helps the participant organise their own thinking. The session concludes with a written summary of the participant's reflections. No advice is offered.
- Group Workshop: Listening Across Generations — a half-day communication education workshop drawing on publicly available materials, focused on listening skills between relatives across different generations. The facilitator does not address legal, financial, or psychological topics.
- Comprehensive Family Programme (Twelve Months) — a twelve-month programme combining monthly facilitated conversations, four family records organisation visits, and two larger family meeting facilitations. The programme is educational and operational in nature.
All services are non-advisory. Open Atrium facilitates structured conversation and organises documents; it does not advise on legal matters, family law, property, mental health, or any regulated subject area.
3. Bookings and Confirmations
A booking is considered confirmed when Open Atrium has sent a written confirmation by email to the address provided at the time of enquiry. Verbal expressions of intent do not constitute a confirmed booking.
We reserve the right to decline a booking if we consider the requested service unsuitable for the participant's stated situation, particularly where a regulated professional would be more appropriate.
4. Fees and Payment
Current fees at the time of publication are:
- Discovery Conversation (Single Session): ฿3,800
- Group Workshop — Listening Across Generations: ฿4,200 per participant
- Comprehensive Family Programme (Twelve Months): ฿23,200
Fees are stated in Thai Baht (THB) and are inclusive of any applicable local taxes unless otherwise noted in writing. Payment instructions are provided at the time of confirmation. Fees may be updated periodically; the fee applicable to a booking is that which was confirmed in writing at the time of booking.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Participants may cancel or request to reschedule a confirmed booking by notifying us in writing at least five full business days before the scheduled session date.
- Cancellations received five or more business days in advance: no charge.
- Cancellations received fewer than five business days in advance: a session preparation fee of 30% of the applicable rate may be retained to cover facilitator preparation time already invested.
- Non-attendance without prior notice: the full session fee may be retained.
Open Atrium reserves the right to reschedule a session due to facilitator unavailability or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, no fee will be retained and a full alternative date will be offered.
6. Conduct During Sessions
All participants are expected to engage in a respectful and considered manner. Sessions are facilitated spaces; they are not forums for legal argument, emotional confrontation, or the direction of hostile communication toward other participants or the facilitator.
Open Atrium reserves the right to pause or bring a session to a close if the safety or dignity of any participant cannot be maintained. In such circumstances, no refund will be issued for the session in progress.
7. Written Summaries and Records Documents
Written session summaries produced following a Discovery Conversation are the property of the participant and will be provided by email within five business days of the session date. These summaries reflect the participant's own stated reflections only and do not constitute advice, recommendations, or legal documentation.
Family records organisation visits produce organisational indexes and document registers. These documents are for the family's own reference. Open Atrium does not verify the legal validity of any document and cannot be held responsible for the contents of records we help to organise.
8. Confidentiality
Open Atrium treats all session content and participant information as confidential. We do not share session content with third parties except where required by applicable Thai law, where a participant provides written consent, or where there is a reasonable concern for the immediate safety of any person.
In group workshop settings, participants are asked at the outset to respect the confidentiality of other participants' contributions. Open Atrium cannot, however, be held responsible for the conduct of other participants outside the session environment.
9. Limitation of Liability
Open Atrium's services are educational and facilitative in nature. We do not make representations about outcomes, changes in family relationships, or the resolution of any dispute. Any decisions made by participants following a session are their own responsibility.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Open Atrium's liability for any loss arising from the use of our services is limited to the fee paid for the specific session or programme from which the loss is alleged to arise.
10. Intellectual Property
Workshop materials, practice booklets, and written session summaries produced by Open Atrium remain the intellectual property of Open Atrium unless otherwise agreed in writing. Participants are welcome to use materials for their own personal and family reference. Commercial reproduction or redistribution without prior written consent is not permitted.
11. Personal Data
We collect and use personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these terms. By making a booking, participants acknowledge that they have read the Privacy Policy and consent to the data practices described therein.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the services described herein shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangkok, Thailand.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Revised terms will be published on this page with an updated date. Bookings confirmed before a change take effect are governed by the terms that were current at the time of confirmation.
